The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it can be alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] sassa status check is to reach-out to some significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a sassa status result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area every day. The services level established for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to allow the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
